History

Since 1995 the ReBeatles perform in Germany and abroad covering their idols as authentically as possible. The CD "Fanthology" consisting of studio and live acts was a great success for the band. The "German Rock- and Popmusicians Association" (Deutscher Rock- und Popmusikerverband) judged it to be the "best Beatles interpretation which they have ever heard".

Andrew und Martin had already met in 1990 by chance and recommendations - similar to the real Beatles. They specialised in John and Paul. Yet under a different band name they won a German contest as "best Beatles imitation group". TV and radio sessions followed, e. g. Sat1, HR3 and SWF3. Later they obtained a record contract at Munich where a CD with Beatles songs and own titles was produced. 1993 they were finalists in the Fritz Egner TV show "Have courage" (Nur Mut).

In 1994 Edwyn joined the band. From that date on they have played under the steady name "The ReBeatles". Lots of stage performances followed, e. g. with The Lords, Rattles, Tony Sheridan, Searchers, Tremoloes, Middle of the Road and Chris Andrews. And there have been further shows on TV.

In 2009 Chris assumed the part of Ringo, whose typic puns and authentic drum groove he elates the audience with. He completed the current formation and succeeded long-time drummer Toby.
